Phong Nha Cave Camping Tour

We’ve teamed up with the awesome Jungle Boss Homestay to offer this incredible Phong Nha cave camping tour to Hang Over Cave.

Day 1

- Start the day early to meet your guide and transfer to the Jungle Boss Homestay HQ for a briefing about the adventure ahead.
- Drive 1 hour along the winding Ho Chi Minh highway to reach the 24th km, where you’ll start your first section of the 3-day expedition.
- Your first stop is Tiger Cave, where you can explore 1.5km into its depths and marvel at the formations inside.
- We’ll set up camp in the cave entrance and enjoy a delicious dinner prepared by our team of porters. Get an early night for a full day of adventure ahead!

Day 2

- Enjoy a delicious breakfast before starting your trek at around 9am. We’ll trek through 1km of untouched jungle to reach the Hang Over Cave. ‘Hang’ actually means cave in Vietnamese, so this cave named ‘Over’ is a fun multilingual pun!
- Trek 3.2km through the cave to reach the magnificent exit looking out into more dense jungle. Then continue trekking a further 300m through tropical jungle to reach the entrance of Pygmy Cave.
- Walk a further 800m into Pygmy Cave to the second campsite and enjoy another amazing meal in your incredible surroundings.

Day 3

- Start this morning’s trek by navigating over sharp rock up a very steep incline to reach the top of the valley. Make your way down into the valley itself for a couple of hours of beautiful scenery.
- A slight uphill trek will bring us to the roadside. Here enjoy a cold drink while you wait for your driver and celebrate the adventure, before heading back to Jungle Boss and your hotel in the afternoon.
